Browse by Grade

• The writing samples are divided by grade: 6th, 7th, and 8th grade
• Under each grade is listed the three writing types and the titles and description of each essay.
• Click on the writing type and it will take you to the first essay of that type.
• If you would like to read another essay of that writing type, click on the link for Other Essays.
• If you would like to read other type essays in that grade, click the Browse by Grade.

Browse by Writing Type

• The writing samples are divided by writing type: expository, narrative, and persuasive.
• Under each writing type is listed the grade level: 6th, 7th, or 8th.
• Click on the grade and it will take you to the first essay of that type in that grade level.
• If you would like to read another essay of that type, click on the link for Other Essays.
• If you would like to read other grade essays of that type, click on Browse by Writing Type.

Search

• You can search the entire site by typing keywords in the search box of FreeFind.
• The search engine will do Boolean and phrase searches.
• Once you type in your keyword(s), FreeFind will give you the results of where you can find that information on the site.
